We are looking for an organized and personable Front Desk Coordinator to join our team in Flushing, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations at the front desk. Job Responsibility:
Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage and operate a multi-line phone system to handle incoming calls efficiently
Direct inquiries and calls to the appropriate departments or personnel
Perform receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining records
Provide concierge-level assistance to visitors, addressing their needs promptly
Maintain an organized and detail-oriented reception area
Facilitate communication between staff and external parties
Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations
Monitor and manage incoming mail and deliveries
Uphold confidentiality and a high standard of conduct in all interactions
Requirements:
Proven experience in receptionist or front desk roles, preferably in a non-profit setting
Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and handling inbound calls
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse individuals
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with switchboard operations involving 1-10 phone lines
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Basic computer skills for managing appointments and records
