We are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to join a non-profit organization on a short-term contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and guests, ensuring a welcoming and attentive environment. Job Responsibility:
Greet and assist visitors, employees, and guests with a warm and attentive demeanor
Manage incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, directing them to the appropriate departments
Sort and distribute mail efficiently to ensure timely delivery
Maintain the cleanliness and stock of the snack area, replenishing supplies as needed
Provide concierge services to address inquiries and facilitate smooth operations
Handle switchboard operations for phone systems with 1-10 lines
Ensure the reception area remains organized and presentable at all times
Support administrative tasks as needed to assist the team
Requirements:
Proven experience in receptionist or front desk roles
Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates a detail-oriented approach and positive attitude
Familiarity with mail sorting and distribution processes
Nice to have:
Experience with replenishing office supplies or snack areas is a plus
