We are looking for a bilingual Customer Service Representative to support an office in Santa Barbara, California. This contract position is ideal for someone with at least one year of customer service experience who is comfortable assisting the public in person and by phone. The person in this role will help manage front counter interactions, respond to incoming inquiries, and provide accurate support in a detail-oriented, service-focused environment.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome visitors at the front counter and provide courteous assistance in both English and a second language as needed
Handle incoming phone calls, answer questions clearly, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department when required
Enter service requests, customer details, or order-related information accurately into internal systems
Support both inbound and outbound communication to resolve questions, confirm information, and follow up on outstanding items
Maintain organized records of customer interactions and ensure documentation is complete and up to date
Participate in first-week training activities and adapt to a modified schedule during the onboarding period
Deliver detail-oriented service in a public-facing government setting while following established procedures and service standards
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in customer service, call center support, or a similar public-facing role
Bilingual communication skills with the ability to assist customers clearly and professionally in both languages
Experience handling inbound calls and providing accurate information in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with order entry or data entry tasks with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage front desk or counter-based customer interactions with professionalism and patience
Comfortable making outbound calls when follow-up or clarification is needed
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal communication skills
