Job Description:

A hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to fill their open position as a Fronk Desk Representative. The role involves assisting callers and visitors, providing accurate information, handling emergencies, monitoring alarm systems, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists callers and/or visitors to the hospital, including patients, physicians and members of the community, providing accurate information and efficient service
  • Executes established procedures for Codes and other emergencies
  • Provides answering services for designated physicians
  • Monitors and responds appropriately to various alarm systems within the hospital
  • Follows customer service guidelines and principles
  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards
  • Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations

Requirements:

  • Must be reliable, patient, empathetic and timely
  • Proficiency in handling inbound telephone calls, demonstrating the ability to manage high call volumes efficiently
  • Experience in providing telephone support, ensuring timely and accurate responses to patient inquiries
  • Ability to check patients' medical records and understand their medical history for better assistance
  • Experience in contacting patients for follow-ups, appointment reminders, and relaying important information from healthcare providers
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on providing superior service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Proficiency in verifying insurance benefits, understanding the intricacies of different insurance plans and coverage
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry, familiar with medical terminologies and healthcare procedures
