We are seeking a dynamic and intellectually curious Qualified French Teacher (QTS) for a full-time, long-term temporary position at one of our partner secondary schools in the historic city of Cambridge. This role is ideal for a specialist who can deliver the French curriculum with both academic rigour and creative energy, ensuring students from KS3 through to GCSE (and potentially A-Level) develop a deep appreciation for the language.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver high-energy lessons balancing Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing
  • integrate French culture, history, and current affairs into the curriculum
  • lead Year 11 groups through AQA/Edexcel GCSE specifications focusing on exam technique, high-level vocabulary acquisition, and spontaneous speaking skills
  • utilise interactive technology and authentic French resources
  • conduct regular assessments and provide precise feedback to identify attainment gaps and implement linguistic interventions
  • work within a vibrant MFL faculty to share resources and contribute to development of innovative schemes of work

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS (mandatory)
