Job Description:

French Teacher role at a bilingual Montessori nursery. We are a chain of high-quality nurseries across North London, dedicated to providing exceptional childcare services in an enriching and nurturing environment. As a Multilingual Nursery, we are committed to providing a comprehensive language experience for children.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching French through play and activities to the children
  • Assisting with all daily routines, supervising the children in their daily activities, helping to organise and prepare activities and materials
  • Supporting the children with their personal care routines
  • Supporting the Key Person with duties that must be carried out throughout the day

Requirements:

  • French native speaker, able to communicate with and understand children
  • Professional spoken and written English
  • Great people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents
  • Competent IT skills (Word, email)
  • Confidence to put into practice what you know
  • Great listening skills
  • Problem-solving & a positive can-do attitude
  • Resilient (strong) yet also caring and great empathy
  • Able to take constructive criticism
  • Able to be self-reflective to improve constantly
  • An Ofsted-recognised qualification, Level 3 or above (desirable)
  • An Ofsted-recognised Montessori qualification (desirable)
  • At least one year experience in childcare, preferable in a nursery setting (desirable)
  • Unqualified candidates will be required to undertake an Early Years qualification recognised by OFSTED (Level 3) after successful probation period

Nice to have:

  • An Ofsted-recognised qualification, Level 3 or above
  • An Ofsted-recognised Montessori qualification
  • At least one year experience in childcare, preferable in a nursery setting
