In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the brand’s voice and ensuring its seamless resonance with customers in a key international market. Your expertise will directly impact how the brand is perceived, translating not just words, but the very essence of its aesthetic and values, ensuring cultural relevance and linguistic perfection across all communication channels.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translate and proofread compelling and engaging brand content from English into French, ensuring it aligns perfectly with the brand’s unique voice and aesthetic
  • Review, proofread, and meticulously edit translated materials to guarantee accuracy, clarity, and impeccable grammar, maintaining the highest quality standards for all French messaging
  • Collaborate closely with the Brand Copy Team to define and uphold the messaging strategy and tone of voice specifically for the French market
  • Champion the company’s brand voice and tone guidelines, ensuring absolute consistency across all French communications
  • Work alongside translators for other languages to ensure cohesive tone of voice and messaging strategies across all international markets
  • Liaise with external language partners to align on messaging for translated content
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitors, and the target audience to ensure messaging is always relevant and engaging for the market
  • Partner with creative production teams, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely delivery of high-quality content
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the French Style Guide, ensuring its alignment with other language style guides
  • Embrace feedback and readily adapt your work to meet evolving project requirements and brand needs

Requirements:

  • Native proficiency in French with full professional proficiency in English
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of translation experience, with a strong preference for experience within a luxury, retail, or other globally recognized brand environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, persuasive, and engaging copy with impeccable grammar and style when translating from English to French
  • Proficiency in CAT tools and familiarity with translation management systems
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to make decisions that support business objectives in the French market
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with a meticulous eye for accuracy and detail
  • A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively within a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and enthusiastically take on new challenges
  • Availability to field occasional requests outside of normal business hours
