Job Description:

As Freight Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating import freight activities and handling the administrative and documentation aspects of importing and exporting goods.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate import freight activities and handle the administrative and documentation aspects of importing and exporting goods
  • Organize and monitor the local/domestic shipments
  • Ensure information flow, and documents availability
  • Use all the related systems
  • Control and optimize the truck utilizations
  • Support bottom-up freight budget/forecast
  • Prepare the month end closure based on actual spending and provisions, evaluate results in comparison with forecast and provide explanation on deviations
  • Organize Premium shipments if necessary, ensure proper administration and approval process
  • Ensure application of proper rates agreed and regular network revision and update according to volume fluctuation
  • Participate in the daily/weekly and monthly meetings and calls with direct Managers and related stakeholders
  • Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely customs clearance
  • Handle customs import / export of goods (including export shipment invoicing- if the case)
  • Issue requests for classifications (RFC)
  • Participate in development, effectiveness and reorganization projects for internal needs
  • Monitor and control of temporary import and export

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in import freight handling
  • Experience in customs processes and customs law requirements in HU is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with familiarity with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • English knowledge is required
