The Freight Operations Team Member at Aramex is responsible for supporting the efficient and timely movement of goods across various logistics channels. This role ensures the smooth coordination of freight shipments, from pick-up to delivery, while adhering to company and regulatory standards. The individual will work closely with other team members, carriers, and vendors to ensure accurate, on-time, and cost-effective transportation.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the scheduling, tracking, and delivery of freight shipments, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and deadlines
Communicate with freight carriers to arrange transportation, resolve issues, and monitor shipment progress
Ensure compliance with service agreements and performance metrics
Coordinating with CMTs, brokers, customs and internal teams to ensure shipments are handled properly without any delays
Immediately update the concerned CMT with any delay, damage or discrepancy related to shipments
Prepare, verify, and manage shipping documentation such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Communicate to CMTs any new offers and/or promotions that customers can benefit from
Agree with CMTs on timeframes to handle all shipments
Arrange for dispatchers to meet pickup and delivery timelines and customer request
Check convenient schedules, coordinate the delivery and dues ready for collection
Coordinate labor, documentation, physical handling and directly approach different authorities for moving shipment
Monitor freight costs, ensuring shipments are within budget
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through carrier negotiations, route optimizations, or consolidation strategies
Upload online data to local authorities and handling agents
Coordinate collection of documents from different terminals and other agents
Ensure necessary procedures are implemented in daily operational activities
Ensure shipments proper handling as per quality standards to avoid any discrepancy that could lead to penalties or fines
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in freight operations, logistics, or transportation services
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Experience in handling freight documentation and regulations (domestic and international)
