Job Description

We’re a growing multi-facility operation consolidating all freight and transportation responsibilities under a single owner for the first time. Freight activity is currently fragmented across operations, sales, and finance, and we’re looking for a hands-on freight operator who can bring consistency, cost control, and real accountability across the organization. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the details and wants clear ownership of a critical operational function.

Job Responsibility

Own all inbound and outbound freight across four facilities — from carrier management to rate negotiation to invoice accuracy

Requirements

  • 3–10 years of experience in freight, logistics, shipping, or transportation
  • Hands-on experience running a freight desk (LTL, FTL, parcel)
  • Strong carrier management and rate negotiation skills
  • Deep familiarity with freight documentation, BOL accuracy, and shipment tracking
  • Experience supporting multi-facility operations
  • Ability to audit invoices, resolve discrepancies, and improve cost control
  • Comfort partnering with warehouse teams without directly managing them
  • A process-improvement mindset — you see inefficiencies and fix them

Nice to have

ERP experience helpful (NetSuite preferred but not required)

What we offer

  • Opportunity to build a centralized freight function from the ground up
  • High visibility across operations, finance, and leadership
  • Potential for future administrative support as the function scales
