Job Description:

Are you an experienced Freight Handlers? This is an opportunity to join a great team based in Tullamarine for our client who is a global leader in logistics. PM shifts are available and ongoing work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Sorting & Distribution: Efficiently scanning and sorting parcels into designated bays and cages
  • Manual Handling: Managing repetitive lifting of items, including items up to 25kg
  • Freight Preparation: Palletising and shrink-wrapping goods to ensure they are transit-ready
  • Safety Compliance: Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhering to all site-specific safety protocols
  • Specialized Task: Utilizing strapping and securing techniques to ensure freight stability (experience in this area is highly regarded)

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as Freight Handlers and ability to work in fast paced and busy environments
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in freight handling or a similar fast-paced logistics environment is highly regarded
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different sections of the depot and thrive in a busy, high-volume setting
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including repetitive lifting of items up to 25kg (with a commitment to using team-lift techniques for heavier items)
  • Capacity to remain active and on your feet for the duration of the shift to meet operational needs
  • A strong safety-first mindset with the ability to follow complex instructions and site protocols accurately
  • A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Current valid Police Check
  • Valid Australian Working Rights
  • Driver License
