Job Description

A well-established, family-owned freight forwarding company based in Eastleigh, Southampton, is looking for a dynamic and quick-thinking individual to join their friendly team. This role is ideally suited to someone with extensive customs clearance experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable business. If you thrive in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment and enjoy delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Complete import customs entries accurately and efficiently
  • Handle customs clearance documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Coordinate import and export shipments
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and customs authorities
  • Manage FCL and LCL shipments where applicable
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales

Requirements

  • Extensive customs clearance experience within a freight forwarding environment
  • Proven experience completing import customs entries
  • Experience using customs software (ASM experience is preferred, although experience with other customs systems is welcome)
  • Good working knowledge of CNS Destin8
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Nice to have

  • Sea import freight forwarding experience
  • Export customs clearance experience
  • Knowledge of T1 Transit procedures
  • Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments
