Job Description

As a Freelance Tech Recruiter, you will play a key role in scaling Catawiki’s Tech teams in Lisbon by hiring experienced engineering talent from Brazil who are motivated and able to relocate to Europe. This role is strongly focused on recruiting software engineers with solid experience in product-driven tech companies, ideally those who have worked on complex, scalable systems similar to the challenges we face at Catawiki. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle for multiple engineering roles, from sourcing and engaging candidates in Brazil to guiding them through a successful relocation to our Lisbon office. You will operate fully remote from Brazil and collaborate daily with stakeholders across Portugal and the Netherlands.

Job Responsibility

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for tech roles, with a focus on: Front-end, Back-end Engineers
  • Additional roles across Engineering, Data, Product, and UX
  • Actively source and engage tech talent in Brazil who are open to relocating to Lisbon
  • Build and manage strong talent pipelines using proactive sourcing strategies (LinkedIn, Boolean search, communities, referrals)
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand technical needs, advise on profiles, and drive efficient hiring decisions
  • Pre-qualify candidates on relocation motivation, expectations, and readiness
  • Deliver a high-quality, transparent candidate experience throughout the process
  • Contribute insights on the Brazilian tech talent market, salary expectations, and candidate motivations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience recruiting Engineers in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong background in recruiting within tech companies, online marketplaces, fintech, ride-hailing, or similar product-led organisations
  • Deep understanding of the Brazilian tech market, ideally with a strong network in São Paulo or other major tech hubs
  • Hands-on experience in supporting candidates with international relocation
  • Experienced in sourcing hard-to-find tech profiles and running high-volume outreach and confident using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools
  • Experienced working with international stakeholders and distributed teams
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and comfortable working as a freelance / independent recruiter
