Job Description

We are inviting a Freelance Senior UI Designer to join our creative team in creating best-in-class digital products for international brands. This is a remote position. This position will report to the Creative Director. This position requires working knowledge of application development and system interactions.

Job Responsibility

  • Understand the needs of the client and/or project before developing UI and visual foundations
  • Design compelling interfaces that best reflect our clients’ brand image
  • Conduct brand studies, trendscapes, and design synthesis as part of the foundational design process
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary setting, with UX designers, project managers, engineers, and quality analysts
  • Create pictograms, illustrations, and animations as part of user interface designs
  • Present and lead clients through iterative workshops
  • Co-lead the collaborative process with front end engineering on the design-to-dev hand-off
  • Conduct build reviews to ensure that implementation accurately reflects designs

Requirements

  • English writing and speaking is mandatory
  • At least 2 years experience working as a UI designer or in a related field
  • Experience defining visual & user interface guidelines and building comprehensive designs for applications or software
  • Experience with production design execution and working with implementation, realizing designs
  • Knowledge of Sketch, Principle, Zeplin, Keynote, After effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalents
  • Proactive, accountable, and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to critical think, concept, and strategize
  • Multi-disciplinary experience, able-communicator, and organized

Nice to have

  • Being in Shanghai and able to communicate face-to-face is a plus
  • Strong client facing and presentation skill is a plus
