Our client, a boutique marketing agency is Brooklyn, is looking for a part-time Freelance Senior Marketing Strategist to serve in a high-level advisory capacity, providing strategic guidance and creative direction across one of their clients, a well-known Jewish organization. This role is focused on big-picture thinking for this client—shaping annual marketing strategy, identifying culturally relevant opportunities, and defining how the brand shows up across social and key moments throughout the year. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings a strong point of view, and is comfortable influencing direction without owning day-to-day execution. This strategist will partner closely with internal teams and clients, offering clear frameworks, sharp insights, and compelling recommendations that elevate brand presence and impact. This role with be working with a well-known Jewish organization and requires strong knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions. This is an ongoing remote part-time contract that requires around 40-hours/month and up to 80-hours/month during busy seasons.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a senior strategic advisor, guiding high-level marketing and brand direction without direct responsibility for execution
Develop and recommend annual marketing strategies aligned to business goals, audience insights, and cultural moments
Provide creative and strategic direction on how the brand shows up across social, digital, and integrated channels
Identify new, compelling, and differentiated ways to engage audiences across social and cultural moments throughout the year
Create strategic frameworks, POVs, and thought-starters for social strategy and cross-channel approaches
Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to shape thinking, challenge assumptions, and refine direction
Present strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively in client meetings and working sessions
Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, helping teams find clarity and direction at key decision points
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, or integrated planning, ideally in an agency, consultancy, or advisory capacity
Strong knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions
Experience working in an agency environment and taking ownership of smaller brands
Proven track record of leading high-level strategic thinking and creative direction for brands across channels
Deep understanding of social, cultural trends, and how brands can authentically participate in relevant moments
Strong ability to develop and articulate strategic frameworks, narratives, and recommendations
Comfortable advising senior stakeholders and clients without owning day-to-day execution or team management
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience participating in and leading client meetings
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and provide clarity through strategic thinking
Available on a freelance basis with flexibility to support key meetings, reviews, and planning moments
