This is an employed, field-based role focused on carrying out registration calls, registration visits, compliance visits and quality assurance visits for tiney's home-based childcare business platform. The role requires flexibility to travel across allocated areas in England.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out registration calls, registration visits, compliance visits and quality assurance visits
Carry out joint safeguarding (unannounced) visits
Travel across the country to ensure the agency meets statutory requirements
Support the tiney safeguarding and quality panels
Carry out support calls and CPD training for CMs
Plan and deliver CPD for other consultants
Build supportive relationships with tiney registered childminders and tiney colleagues
Ensure all childminders comply with relevant legislation and agency requirements
Ensure childminders fully understand their obligations to provide the highest quality of childcare
Monitor and evaluate how childminders meet the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the EYFS
Monitor and evaluate how childminders meet the learning and development requirements of the EYFS
Support with the planning, delivery and evaluation of support visits, registration visits, compliance visits and quality assurance visits
Escalate concerns to the relevant tiney teams
Collaborate and effectively communicate with tiney colleagues to share feedback from visits
Ensure registration visit notes and visit actions are sent out in a concise and timely manner
Write up any visit notes / reports from support / compliance / QA visits in a concise and timely manner
Contribute and actively participate in consultant meetings
Keep and maintain up to date knowledge and relevant qualifications
Promote the reputation of childminder agencies
Carry out any other support duties to support the safeguarding and quality team
Requirements:
Appropriate experience in the early years sector
Strong observational and assessment skills
Ability to write reports concisely, to a high level of written English
Must hold or be willing to undertake a valid enhanced DBS check
Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (preferable)
Relevant knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Ability to set priorities, work flexibly, multi task and under pressure
Good interpersonal skills and ability to connect, enthuse, inform and motivate childminders
Strong and current knowledge of all safeguarding procedures, EYFS requirements and all legal statutory frameworks
Thorough knowledge and understanding of child development theory, and of early years curriculum, evidence based practice, and teaching approaches
Solid understanding of managing a childminder setting
High levels of motivation and dedication to the role
Be positive and considerate to others
Motivated to support the childminder agency model
Flexibility to travel across allocated England
Prepared to be on the road carrying out visits on a full time basis
