We have an exciting bench freelance opportunity within an award-winning, best-in-class in-house video and podcast studio at a major pharmaceutical company. We are seeking a strong, up-and-coming videographer who can confidently shoot, edit simpler, quick-turn videos, and provide technical production support across a range of projects.
Job Responsibility:
Provide daily support and work closely with department personnel in all aspects of project logistics, operational and coordination for various large and smaller-scale productions
Maintain organized and orderly equipment inventory and gear storage areas
Serve as departmental point of contact for allocation and retrieval of production gear at NJ site, ensuring all itemized gear is properly returned and batteries are charged
Maintain video team Production and Post-production calendars
Register and escort crews on site and distribute "task-code accurate" call sheets
Help prep gear, set lights, act as 2 nd camera for larger shoots and sole DP camera for small-scale studio shoots or Broll shoots
Operate cameras, lenses, audio, and lighting equipment to deliver high-quality visuals and clean sound
Set, strike, and maintain production gear
ensure batteries are charged, media is backed up, and equipment is properly cared for
Work with freelance and core teammates to ensure redundancy of acquired production files once production wraps
Organize and upload video files for efficient access/ingest to ARC per existing protocols if needed
Light editing for short-form content, internal communications, social/digital cutdowns, and quick-turn deliverables (e.g., selects pulls, rough assemblies, stringouts, simple graphics, basic color and audio sweetening)
Prep and organize media for quick turn when PA unavailable: ingest, label, and create proxy workflows as needed
maintain organized timelines and project files
Export, QC, and deliver final assets according to spec
coordinate with the post team for handoffs on larger/complex edits
Researching and footage gathering to share with producers and editors
Work in the most proactive, creative and professional manner to provide the highest level of service, as this role requires interacting with key senior staff

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Video/Film Production, Communications or related field is required
5+ years professional video production experience required
Demonstrated hands-on experience in on-site, physical production with the ability to both shoot and perform light editing
Proficient understanding of video production equipment and processes
Editing proficiency for quick-turn content using Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred) or equivalent NLE
Strong understanding of media management, codecs, frame rates, and delivery specs for web, social, and internal platforms
Exceptional organizational skills
proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Team player with a "no task too big or small" mentality
strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with and supervise small teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office
comfortable on both Mac and PC
Sensitivity and tact working with staff/partners/clients at various seniority levels within a diverse, professional environment
Strong results orientation and flexibility to deliver seamless, timely services
Willingness to undergo criminal background check and drug screen
Nice to have:
Experience with remote production workflows, live-streaming, or multi-cam capture
Knowledge of DAM/archival systems and metadata best practices
