Job Description:

We are looking for a creative Localization Specialist to join us on a freelance basis. Your task will be to localize our products and content, primarily for KAYAK and OpenTable. As a professional linguist, you will provide linguistic and cultural expertise to help us connect with our audience and enhance the travel and dining experience through localization. You will contribute to localizing new product features and marketing campaigns that resonate with the rich diversity of communities we engage with.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translate, review and edit content for KAYAK/OpenTable’s products and assets, tailored to the target market
  • Adhere to our style guides to deliver high-quality translations and creative transcriptions
  • Translate and proofread content for various channels, including landing pages, blogs, newsletters, SEO content, social media, and other marketing materials
  • Conduct LQA and functionality checks to engage with the local audience
  • Maintain and refine language-specific resources such as style guides and glossaries
  • Anticipate a lighter initial workload, with scope for increased involvement based on future projects

Requirements:

  • Proficient native speaker in the target language (required)
