Job Description:

We’re seeking a freelance floor plan designer who is highly detail-oriented and technically precise, with the ability to translate architectural plans and spatial concepts into clean, accurate, and visually consistent floorplans. This role will primarily work from our master floorplan templates, iterating and adapting layouts across multiple properties and projects while maintaining brand and template standards. This is a freelance role intended to support ongoing and project-based needs, with the potential for recurring engagements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Produce accurate, high-quality marketing/illustrated floorplans based on provided architectural drawings, sketches, redlines, or reference files
  • Adapt and iterate from established master templates to create consistent deliverables across multiple units, floors, or properties
  • Maintain strict adherence to template systems, graphic standards, and brand guidelines
  • Ensure spatial accuracy, proportions, furniture layout, labeling, and alignment across all floorplans
  • Prepare floor plans for use across digital and print production, including websites, marketing materials, and presentations
  • Incorporate internal and client feedback efficiently and accurately
  • Organize files and maintain clear version control
  • Manage deadlines independently and communicate progress proactively with the project and creative teams

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience creating floorplans in a professional design, architectural, real estate, or marketing environment
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (primary requirement) and CAD
  • Ability to work within established template systems and maintain consistency across multiple deliverables
  • Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately interpret architectural drawings, PDFs, and reference materials
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with real estate, hospitality, residential development, or architecture clients
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar architectural software
  • Experience preparing marketing floor plans for real estate or hospitality projects
  • Experience working within creative or branding agencies
  • Understanding of production requirements for print and digital outputs
