Job Description

Our client, a top company in NYC, is looking for a Freelance Boys Apparel Designer (8-20yrs old) to partner with a few licensed brands. This role is full time hours for at least 6 weeks. This will be a great way to get your foot into the door at a top company. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. They will work on better apparel licensed brands. 4 days onsite and 1 day remote each week in their midtown locations. Hourly pay: $45-51/hr based on experience. Duration: 6 weeks (leave coverage).

Job Responsibility

  • Creating engaging apparel for brands, collaborating closely with graphic design, product development and production teams
  • Researching and identifying trend directions, performing competitive analysis, and creating presentation boards with fabrics, design concepts, presentation boards for meetings, mock-ups, color-ups, and inspirational photos
  • Creating and executing original, trend-appropriate design concepts that align with style plans and market needs
  • Developing Illustrator sketches, reviewing specification sheets and line sheets, managing the fit process, and ensuring designs are accurately maintained in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
