5-7+ years experience in technical design
Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience
Experience in Technical Design for womens sportswear and loungewear including cut & sew knits, wovens, fleece, and sweaters
Resources that have participated or owned their own fittings, can write up fit comments & pattern correction, have centric training, excel/illustrator/Flex PLM etc.

Job Responsibility

Executing the technical design process from development to final fit
Analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications
Ensuring products are developed consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications
Developing technical specifications and communicating fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections
Making appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price
Typically reports to Technical Services Manager
Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.

PLM experience required

Perform daily follow-up using email and PLM
Work with CAD team on prints and patterns if applicable
Interact with Merchants and Production to develop working partnership
Prepare presentation boards for monthly meetings
Observe presentation techniques and be prepared to make preliminary presentations
Maintain daily running or classification while designer travels including fit sessions
