Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Art Director with deep pharmaceutical advertising expertise to support a high-priority campaign for a sickle cell disease treatment. This is a short-term, full-time contract focused on concepting and executing campaign creative alongside an established agency team.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead visual concept development for an integrated pharmaceutical campaign focused on sickle cell disease
  • Partner closely with Copywriters, Strategists, Account, and Medical/Legal/Regulatory teams to bring ideas to life
  • Translate complex scientific and clinical messaging into compelling, compliant creative across multiple channels
  • Execute and refine campaign assets across digital, social, print, presentations, and HCP/patient materials
  • Ensure all creative meets brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and agency quality standards
  • Present creative concepts and rationale to internal stakeholders and client teams
  • Collaborate within tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously

Requirements

  • Extensive Art Direction experience within pharmaceutical or healthcare advertising agencies
  • Demonstrated experience working on sickle cell disease therapies or related hematology categories
  • Strong portfolio showcasing integrated campaigns and omnichannel healthcare work
  • Deep understanding of MLR processes and working within regulated environments
  • Ability to quickly plug into an agency workflow and contribute at a senior level
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with both HCP and patient audiences
  • Motion, social, or digital campaign production experience
