Job Description

This role will be responsible for overseeing a team who manages the day-to-day account initiatives for an assigned client. This role will involve the following areas: client relationship building and true partnership, execution of client campaigns or retainers, managing junior account team members, management of scopes and budgets, developing presentations and proposals, overseeing the internal team process and workflow, client problem solving, collaboration with internal stakeholders and planning/reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary point person in day to day client communication on projects
  • Manage clients and maintain friendly and productive lines of communication at all times
  • Deliver channel strategies and tactics for specific product launches
  • Track work progress and deliverables and relay client feedback to team and senior leadership
  • Provide strategic marketing guidance and thought leadership
  • Become fluent in business objectives and organization goals
  • Oversee client profitability/burn report, account budgeting/actualization and measurement metrics that demonstrate clear return to the client
  • Work with internal team to develop, maintain, and adhere to schedules and plans as outlined by client
  • Acquire proper internal and client approvals to ensure smooth and timely project execution
  • Communicate and follow up with clients and internal departments regarding all projects to address any concerns
  • Maintain working knowledge all aspects of production with vendors on behalf of the client
  • Prepare and oversee the status of all client jobs and/or projects, confirm that all jobs are delivered on-time, and expedite operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Build successful partnerships with client business leads and key decision makers to increase and expand revenue opportunities by identifying production solutions
  • Develop staffing plans and proposals for new projects and briefs
  • Maintain rigor and consistency in use of agency financial systems and templates

Requirements

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in an account management role preferably within an advertising agency, with a specific emphasis on social media content strategy and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
  • Proven account management and client communication skills
  • Experience with scoping, timeline creation, project management, margin, and revenue growth in close partnership with project management, production and finance teams
  • Knowledge of brand experience, influencer/creator marketing, social-first creative and strategy playbooks
  • Curiosity about clients’ business and a passion for solving business problems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with senior level professionals
  • Financial literacy and management of multiple budgets
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience delivering channel assets – from up front strategy and planning through activation and execution
  • Leading New Business Pitches
  • Highly proficient with Google Suite (Gmail, Doc, Slides, Sheets, Drive, Meet, Chat, Gemini) and Slack
  • Baseline knowledge of A.I. tools and functions
