Job Responsibility
Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications
Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs
Gathers data relevant for patient care
Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes
Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards
Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
RN license in WA state
Basic Life Support - CPR
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 60 days of hire)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 12 months of hire)
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (within 12 months of hire)
Trauma Nurse Core Course (within 12 months of hire)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (within 12 months of hire)
Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years OR Critical care experience current within the last 2 years
