Job Responsibility
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies, including but not limited to: Cardiac issues, Respiratory distress, Neurological events, Gastrointestinal issues, Musculoskeletal injuries
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatment
Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records
Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing upon hire
Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
One year of related work experience in an acute care setting
Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years
Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years
Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months
Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months
Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months
