Job Description

We are seeking a highly autonomous, CPA-designated Fractional Finance Manager to manage the financial architecture of a sophisticated multi-entity portfolio. This role reports directly to the Principal and oversees a diverse ecosystem, including international consultancy operations, a private real estate holding group, and a newly launched Not-for-Profit (NFP) foundation dedicated to global knowledge-sharing. This role offers remote flexibility on a short term contract basis with strong possibility of going longer term and/or direct with client.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the financial launch of a high-impact Not-for-Profit. You will establish the chart of accounts, internal controls, and governance frameworks
  • Manage the complex migration of specific business units, intellectual assets, and personnel from the private corporate side to the NFP entity, ensuring tax efficiency and regulatory compliance
  • Act as the lead liaison for external tax partners in Canada and the US
  • Oversee state/provincial tax remissions, international financial statement preparation, and annual corporate filings for a multi-national footprint
  • Design and maintain a robust framework for cross-charge transactions and transfer pricing between entities to ensure clean, audit-ready books and seamless consolidated reporting
  • Oversee the financial health of a private real estate portfolio, including mortgage renewals, property tax assessments, and tenant lease administration (collections and chargebacks)
  • Provide discreet, high-level financial administration for the Founder’s private holdings and executive expenses
  • Develop integrated cash flow models and annual budgets to guide the Principal’s decisions on new ventures or potential M&A activity
  • Implement specialized fund accounting for the NFP, ensuring precise tracking of grants, donor-restricted funds, and impact reporting

Requirements

  • A valid Canadian CPA is required
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant time in a senior, multi-entity environment
  • Proven experience with NFP filings (i.e. T3010), grant reporting, and the unique compliance requirements of registered charities or social enterprises
  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced financial modeling in Excel/Google Sheets
