Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Tappahannock, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and has a strong background in manufacturing, thriving in a dynamic environment. The position requires a blend of onsite and remote work, with a focus on financial oversight and collaboration with executive leadership. The Fractional Controller will work 3 days per week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Reconcile balance sheets to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management review
  • Collaborate with the C-suite in weekly meetings to provide financial insights and updates
  • Oversee and support the accounts payable/receivable clerk in daily operations
  • Generate and review financial statements to maintain transparency and accountability
  • Work closely with the VP of Manufacturing to align financial strategies with operational goals
  • Utilize Genius ERP and QuickBooks to manage and track financial processes effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Controller role within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in financial reconciliation, reporting, and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, Genius ERP and QuickBooks a plus
  • Ability to work both onsite and remotely, with availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with executive leadership and team members
  • Familiarity with general ledger management and financial statement preparation
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in financial operations
