Job Description

As an FPGA Engineer, you will design and develop programmable logic firmware for control electronics used in advanced microscopy systems. You will collaborate with hardware and R&D teams, support system integration, and help resolve technical challenges in an international environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, implement, and maintain firmware for programmable logic devices (FPGA, SoC, and similar)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot firmware on both hardware test setups and final systems
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, including design specifications and interface descriptions, in collaboration with electrical engineers
  • Follow modern development practices such as version control, automated builds, and deployment pipelines

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in FPGA development
  • Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Knowledge of SystemVerilog
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Solid understanding of digital design and electronic schematics
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field
  • Valid Czech electrical certification (§5 or §6)
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Ability to work effectively in an international environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with oscilloscope measurements
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Familiarity with the UVM framework
  • Knowledge of the TCL scripting language
  • Experience with AMD FPGAs
