As an FPGA Engineer, you will design and develop programmable logic firmware for control electronics used in advanced microscopy systems. You will collaborate with hardware and R&D teams, support system integration, and help resolve technical challenges in an international environment.
Job Responsibility
Design, implement, and maintain firmware for programmable logic devices (FPGA, SoC, and similar)
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration
Test, debug, and troubleshoot firmware on both hardware test setups and final systems
Prepare and update technical documentation, including design specifications and interface descriptions, in collaboration with electrical engineers
Follow modern development practices such as version control, automated builds, and deployment pipelines
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in FPGA development
Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL
Knowledge of SystemVerilog
Experience with Python programming
Solid understanding of digital design and electronic schematics
Familiarity with Linux operating systems
University degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field
Valid Czech electrical certification (§5 or §6)
Good knowledge of English
Ability to work effectively in an international environment
Nice to have
Experience with oscilloscope measurements
Knowledge of Git
Familiarity with the UVM framework
Knowledge of the TCL scripting language
Experience with AMD FPGAs
