Job Description:

This role involves supporting financial planning and analysis efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, within a media publishing company. As part of a long-term contract position, you will collaborate across teams to optimize revenue tracking and cost management processes while contributing to strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
  • Support the Director of FP& A with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations
  • Track revenue streams and analyze trends to support business growth and diversification
  • Collaborate with sales teams and other departments to align financial strategies with operational objectives
  • Assist in managing costs through detailed analysis and reporting, ensuring efficiency
  • Contribute to financial modeling and data-driven decision-making to support company initiatives
  • Participate in monthly closes and ensure timely completion of accrual-based accounting tasks
  • Provide support for mergers and acquisitions, leveraging financial expertise to guide transactions
  • Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions to enhance performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong skills in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Familiarity with accrual-based accounting and monthly close processes
  • Ability to track and analyze diversified revenue streams effectively
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including sales
  • Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions processes is a plus
