Job Description:

We’re looking for an FP&A Manager, R&D & G&A to join our Finance team. This role is the financial lead for Engineering, Product, and G&A organizations, with a clear mandate to drive financial discipline through planning, forecasting, and reporting, while improving operational efficiency in headcount and vendor spend. You will run a tight operating cadence across R&D and G&A: budget vs. actuals (BvA) rigor, bottoms-up workforce planning, and building scalable tooling and processes that keep teams moving fast while staying inside the company’s spend and cash guardrails.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the R&D + G&A spend envelope (OpEx + headcount) across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and G&A functions, setting clear spend and hiring guardrails
  • Run planning and forecasting for your areas, including annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly updates
  • Lead workforce planning with bottoms-up headcount models and a dollar-based resource envelope
  • Partner with Procurement to manage internal tooling and SaaS spend and drive cost optimization
  • Lead monthly BvA reviews and a decision-making cadence, improving reporting and accrual accuracy and streamlining controls through automation

Requirements:

  • Anti-bureaucracy, pro-speed – streamline workflows, remove drag, and make decisions with clarity
  • Tech-forward operator – go beyond Excel, use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to automate, clean, and generate insights, treat Finance like a product
  • Detail-obsessed – know that a single error can swing the forecast by millions
What we offer:
  • Competitive compensation package, including equity
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills
  • Flexible Time Off
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed
