Aurora’s mission is to deliver the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. The Aurora Driver will create a new era in mobility and logistics. We’re searching for a FP&A Analyst.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive set of Purchasing KPIs
  • Identify spend down targets by category and opportunities to optimize supplier spend
  • Partner with the Purchasing team to analyze vendor spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track progress against spend down targets
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate supplier contracts, pricing scenarios, and total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards to track procurement performance, cycle times, vendor compliance, and savings initiatives
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly spend reporting and forecasts, and leverage analytics and data tools to establish/support a rolling 90-day planning process for indirect spend
  • Present reports on procurement performance to leadership
  • Review SOP’s and identify process gaps based on empirical data analysis
  • improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and track teams’ adherence to best practices
  • Drive system automation and data integrity to enhance scalable processes
  • leverage this foundation to take on progressively broader responsibilities in FP&A and strategic finance

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Finance and/or Procurement roles in large and/or fast growing companies
  • significant experience in public companies with quarterly reporting requirements preferred
  • Ability to operate successfully in dynamic environments, identify process improvements, and implement process changes with cross functional stakeholders
  • Ability to understand the interdependency of teams and work together to improve process and system issues
  • Strong understanding of procurement, accounting and FP&A systems and processes, and how they integrate
  • Ability to pivot seamlessly between granular details and big picture strategic topics, identifying connections between the two
  • Familiar with advanced FP&A tools and systems and corporate accounting systems (e.g. Pigment, Coupa, NetSuite)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a succinct manner to senior executive audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail is required

Nice to have

  • CPA (or international equivalent), CFA or MBA are preferred but not required
  • Expert-level GSuite skills, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides
  • Pigment, Coupa and/or Netsuitet experience is a plus
  • Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major BI visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Data warehouse, ETL process and SQL experience is a plus
