Job Description:

Pulley helps the country’s top architects, builders, and retailers speed up every project in their portfolio. With AI-powered permitting intelligence and expert guidance, we eliminate costly delays and bring predictability across the full lifecycle of commercial projects. Today, permitting is the slowest, most uncertain part of building, spread across 19,000+ jurisdictions with different rules, timelines, and surprises. Pulley gives project teams the clarity and predictability they need to move from planning to opening without delays. We support rollout programs for brands like Starbucks, AutoZone, and J.Crew, as well as major data center buildouts, EV charging networks, and other commercial projects. Our platform dramatically reduces approval timelines, improves forecasting accuracy, and removes thousands of hours of manual work from design and construction teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accelerate the launch of Pulley’s newest AI product offerings and operate as the main product owner between engineering, design, and the rest of the business
  • Partner closely with design and engineering to ensure alignment across product, technical requirements, and customer needs
  • Help set the tone for how product is built at Pulley by creating the processes, rituals, and communication styles that will define our future
  • Stay ahead of the curve in construction tech, AI, and automation to continuously identify areas where we can improve the permitting process

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or in a related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience in a B2B or enterprise SaaS environment
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a software engineer, or in a technically adjacent role. You understand technical concepts (eg APIs, data models, architecture, etc) and can work closely with engineers to make informed decisions about trade-offs and feasibility
  • Prior startup experience, or experience in a high-growth company environment
  • Eager to work hybrid in person in our Downtown SF office (the team comes in 4x/week)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in construction tech, gov-tech, or workflow automation products
  • Experience applying AI/LLM workflows to real-world operations or decisioning problems
