Job Description

Founding role to build out fund administration capability from bare bones. Primary objective is to build a product and service offering that leads customers to say 'we love our fund admin'. Requires high agency to make technical judgement calls with minimal precedent and internal validation. Work will be hands-on and execution-heavy initially, shifting toward systematising and embedding fund logic into software over time.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with Product to embed fund logic into the platform
  • Build the operational structure for fund administration from first principles
  • Own fund administration across various fund structures including capital calls, distributions, fund accounting, and investor reporting
  • Take responsibility for fund tax & reporting mechanics in multiple jurisdictions
  • Own interactions with external auditors on funds
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex fund questions from CFOs, GPs and internal teams
  • Ensure integrity across capital accounts, ownership records and fund-level data
  • Handle a limited amount of internal operational finance BAU
  • Contribute to complex or high-value operational projects related to fund structures, regulatory requirements or new product expansion

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with strong technical grounding
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Direct exposure to fund structures or closely related environments
  • Comfortable taking full ownership of complex financial processes
  • Ability to think in systems, tighten controls, reduce manual risk, and improve data integrity
  • Clear communication skills for explaining complex financial mechanics to sophisticated stakeholders
  • Precise, logical, and calm under pressure
  • Motivated by raising standards
  • Naturally looks for opportunities to automate and improve systems
