We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Team Manager to join our Fostering Support Team on a permanant basis. Our Fostering Support Teams are responsible for supporting Gloucestershire’s fostering households. We work with foster carers and their families enabling them to provide therapeutic and nurturing parenting to children in their care. Join our friendly Fostering Service where we you will receive regular reflective supervision, evidence-based training and support to develop and progress. Our teams are made up of a Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, Supervising Social Workers, and Family Support Workers.
Job Responsibility:
Offer day to day support for the Team Manager
supervision
performance management
delivery of high quality services
providing a culture of continuous professional development
assisting with the team budget
take accountability for the legal process on behalf of the Council
attending Court as and when required
managing staff performance
Requirements:
Full driving licence and willingness to drive
DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children’s)
to have completed your ASYE year (if you qualified after 2012)
familiar with the relevant legislative processes relating to Fostering
positive attitude
good problem-solving skills
excellent written and verbal communication skills
familiar with fostering assessments & review processes
appreciate and feel passionate about supporting families
aware of the complexities these families are often managing
