This is an exciting opportunity to work for a GOOD fostering agency in the pivotal role of Fostering Administrator and Birmingham Foster Carer Association (BFCA) Coordinator. This post is a full-time post that is split between being the part time coordinator for BFCA who an independent charity working alongside Birmingham Fostering Agency in ensuring our foster carers have support and advice. The remaining hours will be working part-time for Birmingham fostering agency as an Administrator.

Providing business support services

Organising buddy groups
Maintaining spreadsheets
Writing correspondence
Creating newsletters and social media content
Minute taking
Coordinating agendas
Progress tracking
Communicating with all of Birmingham foster carers
Requirements:
Excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills
Good communication with foster carers, professionals, and stakeholders
Understanding of the role of a foster carer and/or experience of supporting committees or charities
IT literacy in word, excel, publisher, etc
Competent in completing tasks ranging from supporting with placement requests, organising buddy groups, maintaining spreadsheets, writing correspondence, creating newsletters and social media content, minute taking, coordinating agendas, progress tracking, and communicating with foster carers
Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills
Relational and positive approach
Ability to support meetings, including booking rooms, the provision of note taking and recording and tracking of actions
Attention to detail with an ability to work accurately e.g. literacy and numeracy
Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to all tasks to ensure business objectives are met
Ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment
Must undergo background checks with Experian including Experian Right to Work, and Digital ID verification
May be required to undergo an appropriate level of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
