Formwork Carpenter

• Interpret drawings and specifications to plan and set out formwork carpentry works
• Measure, mark and cut timber/plywood and formwork components to specified dimensions
• Construct, install, brace and secure formwork for footings, columns, walls, beams, stairs and suspended slabs
• Assemble and fix formwork using appropriate fasteners and carpentry tools (hand and power tools)
• Install temporary supports, props, kickers and bracing to maintain line, level and stability during pours
• Form box-outs, rebates, penetrations, edge forms and other formwork details as shown on drawings
• Strip, dismantle, clean, repair and store formwork materials for reuse
• Check set-out, alignment, plumb and levels to ensure formwork meets tolerances and finish requirements
• Coordinate workflow with steel fixing and concreting crews to meet pour schedules and site program
• Maintain WHS compliance including SWMS, PPE, safe tool use, manual handling and housekeeping

• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III, IV or Diploma)
• Safety-first mindset and strong work ethic
• Practical problem-solving and adaptability to site changes
• At least 1 year of proven work experience as a Formwork Carpenter on structural concrete projects
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, set-out and formwork drawings
• Effective communication and coordination with site managers and adjacent trades
