Graduate in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a scientific discipline alongside industry experience in FMCG
Experience in formulation development within the cosmetic or pharmaceutical industry, ideally with photo protection knowledge

Leading and delivering a pipeline of market leading, effective, affordable & sustainable sun protection products from idea to prototype and thereafter finished product
Accountable for developing the formulation innovation strategy and pipeline for Soltan
Fosters and promotes a high degree of innovation within the team
Networks widely to stay abreast of industry trends and relevant new technologies through building strong relationships with raw material suppliers, CMO's, CRO's trade bodies and finished product suppliers
Drives a culture of scientific excellence within the team based on structured experimental plans and critical evaluation of technical data
Innovate technical solutions for complex problems, interpret scientific information into valid conclusions and articulate clear business recommendations
Ensure regulatory, legal and sustainability compliance for all finished formulations, products and processes
Ensure effective scale up and transfer of technology to partner manufacturer(s) and is a contact for manufacturing partners and raw material suppliers
Builds strong relationships across the business particularly with product, regulatory and No.7 Beauty Company R&D colleagues
Acts as a technical ambassador for the Soltan brand, supporting marketing & PR teams on the benefits of our products.

Job Responsibility

Lead development of formulations from concept through to production and then launch
Oversee daily manufacturing operations and drive performance against KPIs
Ensure compliance with cosmetic and chemical regulations across EU & US markets
