An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join a fostering service as an Independent Form F Assessor. This is an ad hoc role focused solely on the assessment of prospective foster carers. The successful candidate will work independently to evaluate the suitability of applicants, providing high-quality, analytical reports without the requirement of ongoing caseholding. This position is perfect for a practitioner seeking a flexible, "paid-per-completion" arrangement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conducting a series of home-based interviews with prospective foster carers to evaluate their skills and suitability
  • Utilising Form F framework to produce a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment
  • Analysing the applicants' history, family dynamics, and parenting capacity
  • Gathering and evaluating third-party information, including personal references and statutory checks
  • Presenting the final report to the Fostering Panel and providing a professional recommendation for approval
