Job Description:

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Forklift Trainer for a permanent role in Etobicoke. The position involves training employees on safe forklift operation, warehouse systems, and safety procedures, with opportunities to assist in warehouse duties when training is not required. Ideal candidates should have extensive forklift operating experience and a commitment to safety.

Job Responsibility:

Instruct new employees in site safety, Material Handling Equipment, warehouse systems, and quality training
refresh existing employees in site safety requirements and training
train employees in additional areas as required
assist with auditing new and existing employees on current processes and provide recommendations
ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all training
comply with safety requirements and legislation
improve operational excellence and Health and Safety performance
support wellness programs
lead communication strategies to heighten Health and Safety awareness
assist and work within the warehouse when training duties are not required
perform material handling tasks such as picking, loading, and unloading when training is not scheduled

Requirements:

5 years Material Handling Equipment experience
experience operating Counterbalance, Reach, Order Picker, and Pallet truck
prior experience in a trainer role
experience with wireless RF systems including voice picking
experience with preferred picking practice
experience working in Cold storage
experience with Microsoft Office Suite
experience in using a Warehouse Management System
certified MHE trainer or willing to complete certification
