Job Description:

Randstad is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Trainer to join our dynamic team in Etobicoke. In this key role, you will be responsible for training both new and existing employees on safe forklift operation, warehouse management systems, and essential warehouse procedures. If you're a certified reach truck operator eager to advance your career and transition into a Training Specialist role, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Job Responsibility:

Providing comprehensive training to new employees on site safety, material handling equipment, warehouse management systems, and quality control procedures
Conducting ongoing refresher training for existing employees
Auditing employee performance
Generating reports and recommendations
Ensuring proper training documentation
Maintaining compliance with all safety regulations
Enhancing operational efficiency and improving safety performance
Leading communication strategies to raise awareness and promote understanding of work processes
Assisting with warehouse tasks and performing material handling duties as required

Requirements:

5+ years of experience with material handling equipment
Proficient in operating Counterbalance forklifts, Reach trucks, Order pickers, Pallet jacks
Previous training experience is an asset
Familiarity with wireless RF systems
Knowledge of preferred picking practices
Experience working in cold storage environments
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
MHE Trainer (Train the Trainer) certification is preferred or a willingness to obtain

Nice to have:

Previous training experience
Familiarity with wireless RF systems
Knowledge of preferred picking practices
Experience working in cold storage environments
