Job Description

To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc. from location to location within the manufacturing facility. Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner.

Job Responsibility

  • To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc. from location to location within the manufacturing facility
  • Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner
  • Safely and efficiently empty trash throughout the plant multiple times per day
  • Sawdust
  • Coordinate sawdust removal and trash removal with outside companies
  • Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
  • Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation
  • Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed if business need requires
  • Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment
  • Will also perform other related duties as assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the job description
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment
  • Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
  • Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility

  • Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic
  • 2-3 Years in the field or related area
  • Forklift knowledge and safety procedures
