  • Loading a range of general freight, including oversized, blended and long lengths
  • Loading and unload mezzanine floor trailers, line-haul trailers, local vehicles and containers
  • Manual handling

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Have experience operating a Forklift in a similar environment or industry (Transport and Logistics)
  • Have experience loading/unloading a variety of freight including oversized, ugly, long lengths, general and non-palletised freight
  • Be able to manually handle freight up to 20kgs

  • Operate forklift and other machinery safely and in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure all inbound and/or outbound freight is: Accurately scanned, matched, sorted and placed safely into correct locations
  • ‘Checked, Weighed and Cubed’ (CWC) to reduce revenue leakage
  • Accounted for with accompanying paperwork in good order
  • Unloaded and/or loaded safely with zero damage within set time limits
  • Blended effectively to maximise load revenue
  • Compliant with legislative requirements with regards to load mass
  • Compliant with Chain of Responsibility including appropriate load restraint
  • Review consignment notes and provide feedback to Supervisors on quality/issues
