Job Description:

Randstad is currently seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our client’s dynamic team in Mount Pearl, NL. As a leading player in the manufacturing and logistics sector, our client distributes a wide range of products for auto parts and other companies. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled operator to play a crucial role in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment. This is a full-time position with an opportunity to become a permanent position.

Job Responsibility:

Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move, stack, and retrieve a wide variety of products of different shapes and sizes within the warehouse
Perform general labor (GL) duties as needed, including manual lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs
Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of goods
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment
Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock movement

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of proven counterbalance forklift operator experience
Valid forklift license
Prior warehousing or logistics experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must have own steel-toed boots and a safety vest
Reliable transportation is required
Completion of 4safe training through Randstad (WHMIS, Dangerous Goods, Health and Safety) is mandatory
