Job Description:

Randstad Canada is currently hiring for Forklift Operators for one of our esteemed clients in Surrey, BC. The hiring is for a short term assignment.

Job Responsibility:

Work under supervision and direction of department Supervisor and team lead
Help to efficiently carry out all Distribution Centre tasks with the use of Powered MHE
Follow all policies and procedures related to powered equipment, including inspections, safety checks, routine maintenance and training
Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required
Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)
Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order
Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management
Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

6 months- 1 year experience operating Order Picker/ Turret Truck
Ability to speak in English and a positive attitude
Ability to follow instructions and work orders
Excellent attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Work Permit (Applied status candidates are also accepted)/ PR/ Citizens
Steel toe CSA approved safety shoes/boots required
