Forklift Operator

• Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
• Load and unload materials from trailers and transport them to and from designated areas in the facility
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately
• Accurately pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations
• Work collaboratively with other team members in the manufacturing & logistics department to ensure operational efficiency
• Adhere to all company policies and provincial health and safety standards

• Minimum of one year of direct experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
• Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
• A demonstrated history of safe work practices and a commitment to workplace safety
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

An external forklift certification is considered a strong asset
