Job Responsibility:
Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
Load and unload materials from trailers and transport them to and from designated areas in the facility
Perform daily pre-operational inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately
Accurately pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations
Work collaboratively with other team members in the manufacturing & logistics department to ensure operational efficiency
Adhere to all company policies and provincial health and safety standards
Requirements:
Minimum of one year of direct experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
A demonstrated history of safe work practices and a commitment to workplace safety
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Nice to have:
An external forklift certification is considered a strong asset
