Job Description:

Randstad is looking for a skilled Clamp Forklift Operator to join a major appliance distribution center in Southeast Calgary. This isn't just a short-term gig; it's a temporary-to-permanent opportunity starting at $21.00 per hour. In this role, you won't be using standard forks—you'll be using a specialized clamp attachment to move 'big and bulky' goods like refrigerators, washers, and stoves. We need someone who can move fast on a busy shipping dock but also has the 'soft touch' needed to handle high-value appliances without a scratch. If you're a reliable pro looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday that starts at 5:30 am until 1:30 pm with a global leader, we want to get you started immediately.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely operate a Sit-Down Forklift with a Clamp Attachment to move appliances
  • Load and unload trailers, ensuring products are handled gently to avoid damage
  • Perform Shipper/Receiver duties, including verifying paperwork and manifests
  • Stack and stage large appliances (fridges, stoves, washers) in the correct zones
  • Use RF scanners to update inventory and process incoming shipments

Requirements:

  • Valid Forklift Certification with proven experience using Clamp attachments
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Shipping/Receiving or Distribution role
  • Experience handling appliances or 'Big & Bulky' freight is highly preferred
  • Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots and a reliable way to get to SE Calgary

Nice to have:

Experience handling appliances or 'Big & Bulky' freight

What we offer:
  • $21.00 per hour with weekly pay and 4% vacation pay
  • High potential to transition from a temporary role to a permanent employee
  • Shift starts at 5:30 AM until 1:30 PM
  • Monday to Friday day shifts—enjoy your weekends off
