Job Description

ACME Distribution is seeking a motivated Forklift Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow their mechanical career while learning directly from an experienced Forklift Mechanic. The ideal candidate will assist with equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics for a variety of warehouse and material handling equipment.

Job Responsibility

  • Repair and maintain forklifts, lift trucks, scissor lifts, sweeper scrubbers, and other material handling equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including battery maintenance for electric forklifts
  • Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns
  • Recommend appropriate service and repair actions
  • Safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, and hydraulic jacks
  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections and related service tasks
  • Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience with electric forklifts preferred
  • Must provide your own hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Prior related experience preferred
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to twist, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level
  • Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Must be able to pass background and our company participates in E-Verify
