Job Description:

This position is ideal for a calm, safety-conscious person. The main role involves loading and unloading a wide variety of goods of various sizes and weights. You'll spend most of your time operating a forklift, but must also be able to lift loads of up to 75 lbs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Loading and unloading: Handling freight in and out of trailers
  • Forklift operation: Perform 75% of tasks using a forklift
  • Manual handling: Perform 25% of lifting tasks, with the ability to regularly lift weights of 50 to 75 pounds
  • Safety: Maintain a safe work environment and cooperate with the team

Requirements:

  • have a valid external forklift license
  • have previous experience in LTL loading and unloading
  • be able to lift 75 pounds
  • hazardous goods certification (an asset)
  • MUST own a car
  • Steel toed shoes and vest required
