Job Description

Secures the financial returns according to financial target and investment performance set by Ingka Investments. Develops harvest optimization models for potential acquisitions. Manages divestments of non-core land parcels. Drives and co-ordinates the acquisition process, ensuring that this is aligned with the priorities set at country level. Ensures full insight / transparency of acquisition prices and the cost items (technical and legal Due Diligence, transaction costs, etc.). Originates and records the potential leads and assesses the investment opportunities accordingly with Ingka investments framework. Identifies and validates the relevant information for different leads. Prepares the Net Present Value assessments for different leads. Negotiates and closes the forest acquisition deals. Secures the correct hand-over of the new acquisitions to the operations team. Leads activity towards more effective and cost-conscious ways of working, identifying growth and cost potentials through benchmarking. Secures that forest acquisitions are compliant with Ingka Investments working standards.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in operational and tactical forestry investment decision-making forums
  • Degree in Forestry
  • Sound communication skills
  • Proven investment analysis skills
  • Good judgment and ability to make sound and common-sense decisions
  • Experience with Woodstock or other harvest optimization modeling preferred
  • Knowledge about how to use the different programs in the standard Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
