Job Description:

Implement all aspects of the timber harvest program, including performing harvest layout and permitting, administering road building and logging contracts, and ensuring log quality control. Assist in the development of harvest budgets and forecasts. Collaborate regarding silvicultural programs including reforestation, vegetation management, tree improvement, and inventory. Interact professionally and effectively with state regulatory agencies and diverse groups. Effectively coordinate with Federal, State, and local agencies in the protection of Company lands from wildfires. Hike in remote mountainous regions using maps, compass, or GPS. Work may consist of team or independent settings, in remote areas and in all seasons and weather conditions. Safely navigate hazardous mountain roads.

  • Demonstrated understanding of operational and cost considerations of cable and ground-based logging systems and forest road construction
  • Working knowledge of Oregon forest practice rules
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, and a strong work ethic
  • Skilled with Word, Outlook, Excel, ArcGIS software, experience with Road Eng or CAD preferred
  • Hold or obtain valid Oregon driver’s license
